Sources: Man City told £30m Marc Guehi offer will be accepted
Man City will have to pay upwards of £30million if they want to sign Marc Guehi this month ahead of his summer contract expiry at Crystal Palace.
Guehi was close to joining Liverpool in the summer, but his move to Merseyside collapsed on deadline day, and he is now just a few months away from the end of his contract at Selhurst Park.
The England international centre-back has continued to be a standout for Crystal Palace this season, with 33 appearances across all competitions so far.
Football Insider recently revealed that Man City plan to submit an offer for Guehi soon, while Liverpool would prefer to sign him in the summer, and league leaders Arsenal retain an interest in his services.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Citizens will have to stump up around £30m if they want to win the race for Guehi in the January window.

Guehi will cost Man City around £30m to sign in January
Guehi remains happy at Palace for now, as revealed by Football Insider, and is unlikely to push for a move before the end of the winter window.
Bayern Munich are also accelerating efforts to sign Guehi ahead of the summer, but City are hoping to get a deal over the line in the weeks to come.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Obviously with Marc Guehi, Manchester City are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by trying to agree a deal for the Crystal Palace defender in this month’s transfer window.
“It’s not an easy deal to do because Crystal Palace want big money for Guehi if they are to let him leave midway through the season.
“You’re looking at in and around 30 million pounds, plus, I think, for Palace to let him go.
“Manchester City don’t really want to pay that for a player who has come into the final six months of his contract.”
Man City lining up Michael Kayode swoop alongside Liverpool
City have looked to raid smaller Premier League clubs in recent times, with the likes of Antoine Semenyo, Rayan Ait-Nouri and James Trafford signed from Bournemouth, Wolves and Burnley respectively this season.
Guehi could well be on his way to the Etihad Stadium soon too, while sources have told Football Insider that City are eyeing a move for Brentford full-back Kayode.

Pep Guardiola’s side are not set to be alone in the race for his signature, with Liverpool tipped to move for Kayode alongside a host of top clubs.
The 21-year-old has made 26 appearances for the Bees so far this term, and has started each of their 21 league matches up to now.
