Thomas Frank gets Ange Postecoglou treatment at Turf Moor in latest Tottenham embarrassment
Tottenham supporters made their thoughts towards Thomas Frank loud and clear after an embarrassing draw against Burnley.
Spurs were held 2-2 at Turf Moor by a side who had just 14 points from 66 on offer prior to Saturday’s contest.
While Cristian Romero did manage to salvage a last-gasp point, it is the second successive terrible performance against a side in the relegation zone after Tottenham lost 2-1 to West Ham United last weekend.
A victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek helped lift some of the intense pressure on Spurs boss Frank.
But any goodwill evaporated in Lancashire on Saturday as Axel Tuanzebe and Lyle Foster cancelled out Micky van de Ven’s opener, prior to Romero’s late goal.
And Spurs fans, even accounting for the late leveller, have quite clearly had enough of the Danish manager.

Tottenham fans aim Mauricio Pochettino chant at Thomas Frank
Defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor may have cost Frank his job, so that late Romero equaliser could yet prove massive.
However, snatching a last-gasp draw at the second-worst team in the division is nothing to be celebrated.
Spurs fans were sick of the display from their side, as pointed out by Chris Cowlin on X, as they sarcastically chanted “sideways and backwards everywhere we go”.
Those in the Turf Moor away section, meanwhile, also chanted Mauricio Pochettino‘s name, which Frank no doubt heard.
That is interesting as it is the same treatment afforded to Ange Postecoglou last season when things were going terrible in the league, and we all know what happened to the Australian.
Postecoglou was given the shove in the summer, despite winning the Europa League, with Spurs’ domestic woes simply not good enough.
The Lewis family now need to do the same when it comes to Frank. Spurs’ European form simply cannot cloud what has been an unacceptable domestic campaign so far.
Will Frank be in charge for Tottenham’s clash with Eintracht Frankfurt?
If Spurs fans get their wish, the answer is “no”. But this is a decision that comes down to a select few high up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Lilywhites face Frankfurt in midweek in another big game, and it is likely that club chiefs will not want to cause any disruption heading into that.
But the inevitable cannot be delayed any longer than that. Win, lose or draw in Germany, Frank has to go before next weekend’s home league clash with Manchester City.
Relegation is not a serious threat, but floating in the lower reaches of the table with a squad of this quality is a sackable offence.
Thomas Frank, your time is up.
