Alan Nixon reported via his Patreon on Sunday that the Serie A outfit are trying to persuade the midfielder with the prospect of being a regular starter at San Siro.

That leaves the North London club with a decision: If Tottenham want to sign Jones from Liverpool, he must come in as a guaranteed starter.

Offering big wages and guaranteed minutes is a recipe for disaster and is unlikely to help turn the tide if they avoid relegation from the Premier League.

If Inter Milan can offer starting football every week and Jones is eager to move to Italy, it may be better for Tottenham to sit this one out.
