Tottenham Hotspur‘s humiliating 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest saw plenty of moments that were not picked up the television cameras.

Igor Tudor’s place in the dugout looks precarious again after the hammering at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 22 March.

Spurs were lacklustre at both ends of the pitch, and they are now just one point above the Premier League relegation zone.

Supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium started with positivity, but that was soon replaced by despair, and the players were also feeling disbelief.

Tottenham’s players did not do the fans justice on the pitch, but they were just as gutted as they were after the final whistle.

The Athletic’s Jay Harris reported that Cristian Romero dropped to the floor, Xavi Simons covered his head with his shirt, and Kevin Danso and Pape Sarr were bent over in disbelief.

It is good to see that reaction from the players, they clearly care, but they need to start performing on the pitch, otherwise, it will be good for nothing.

Club staff get pelters from Tottenham fans

It was not just the players who were subjected to an intense reaction from the supporters, it was also the club staff.

Tom Barclay claimed that Spurs analysts, sitting in the press box, were the subject of flak from disgruntled fans in N17 after the final whistle.

He stated that one fan labelled them a disgrace.

While the situation is hostile, staff should not be being abused in the stands.

Mauricio Pochettino return chants gather pace

Mauricio Pochettino is most supporters’ ideal target for the post when Tudor departs in the summer, if he does not go earlier.

In the pre-match scenes, as they welcomed the bus, they broke out in song once again for the Argentine manager, in a video shared by Chris Cowlin.

Fans could be heard chanting “Mauricio Pochettino, he’s magic, you know” as they gathered before the contest, making their feelings well known about their former boss.

A return would be the dream for the fanbase and for the board, and surely rumours will only gather more pace if the current malaise continues in North London.

He is the most logical candidate, and it would bring the ownership a lot more praise from supporters if they were to pull it off.
