Tottenham striker stuck in transfer limbo as exit now set for summer
Bahia want to sign Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz, who is currently on loan at Rosario Central.
The Brazilian club have their eyes on the 22-year-old to reinforce their attack in January, but will have to wait for his situation in Argentina to resolve.
Spurs sent Veliz to Central in the summer to continue his development after a somewhat underwhelming spell at RCD Espanyol in Spain, and it doesn’t look like the centre-forward has a future in North London.
Bahia have made a lucrative offer at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and while the Lilywhites will surely want to accept it, his loan spell in Argentina only expires at the end of the season.

Bahia to wait for Alejo Veliz transfer from Tottenham
Bahia don’t rule out waiting until the summer to sign Veliz, according to Yuri Santana via Vou de Bahea.
The journalist has revealed that the Brazilian club are open to signing a short-term solution for now, before attempting to bring the young striker from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the end of the season.
As things stand, the Argentine forward at Central and the club from Rosario will likely have to accept cutting short his temporary move from Spurs to facilitate his permanent exit in January.
Veliz started 16 league games for the Argentine outfit in 2025, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
It’s clear that the centre-forward is a key player for Central, and it remains to be seen whether they’ll be willing to send him back to North London earlier than expected.
Thomas Frank stands in way of player exits at Spurs
Radu Dragusin has been heavily linked with an exit from Tottenham, but they don’t seem to be keen on his departure midway through the season.
The centre-back has been injury-prone at the North London outfit, and it would make sense for them to cut their losses on the Romania international.
Mathys Tel is also pushing for an exit from Spurs after struggling for regular game time under Thomas Frank, and the French youngster can’t be blamed for wanting to play elsewhere.
With Richarlison, Mohammed Kudus, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski on the sidelines, it makes sense to keep him, but only time will tell what the future holds for him.
