View: 24 y/o striker is the perfect blend of youth and experience for Everton as director confirms exit
Nicolas Jackson will not be staying at Bayern Munich, with Everton in a prime position to swoop for their former transfer target.
The Toffees have been linked with Jackson in the past, most notably in 2023 before he signed with Chelsea.
And the Blues have been rumoured to be making a move for the Senegal forward ever since his spell at Stamford Bridge looked to be on the rocks.
Jackson has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich, but with the Bavarian club’s board member for sport, Max Eberl stating: “We will not activate the permanent transfer clause for Jackson,” the number nine is primed for another summer of speculation.
With David Moyes likely to be in the market for a striker, an Everton transfer for Jackson would make complete sense at this stage due to his age profile and history in England.

Why Nicolas Jackson could be perfect for Everton now
Everton have been in a position to sign Jackson for quite some time, with Jackson always unlikely to stay at Bayern Munich.
However, now that his exit is confirmed, the door has been opened even more for the Merseyside outfit.

For much of the season, the Blues have struggled in front of goal, with Beto’s form only coming through in 2026 and Barry often failing to impress.
If Everton are to push on next season and improve, they will need to sign an experienced option but also a player who has years left to provide.
Jackson is the perfect age profile in that regard. The centre-forward is still just 24 years old and is entering his peak years as a footballer.
Additionally, he is a proven number nine in England, hitting double digits in the Premier League in both his seasons at Stamford Bridge.
He netted 14 goals in his first year and 10 in his second. Furthermore, in both campaigns he provided five assists.
While he has played second-fiddle to Harry Kane this season, the 24-year-old will have much more experience and could be an interesting option for David Moyes’ side.

How much could Nicolas Jackson cost Everton?
Last summer, Chelsea felt that Jackson was valued at around £80million but later reduced their asking price to around £50m.
After the end of the 2024-2025 season, after picking up 15 Premier League goal contributions, it was not an outrageous ask to seek around that £50m mark.
At the time, Jackson was valued by Transfermarkt at £43.3m.
However, since his loan to Bayern and his lack of game time, his value has since dropped down to £34.3m.
If the Toffees can agree a deal anywhere around that price, it would be an excellent price for a striker proven in the English top flight.
