View: David Moyes should sanction £8.6m exit, he has the perfect replacement already
Harrison Armstrong could be the main beneficiary of Everton’s transfer business this month.
Armstrong was initially brought back to Everton as cover with several midfield injuries, which left the Blues fearing a full-blown crisis.
The 19-year-old was expected to return to Preston by the end of the winter window and continue his loan spell, despite impressing after being recalled, as the Sofascore graphic below highlights.
However, he could find himself in a more prominent role after the latest exit news from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Who is the potential £8.6m Everton exit?
Armstrong may be rubbing his hands together after news emerged that Everton may be braced for a bid for Tim Iroegbunam.
Italian journalist Manuele Baiocchini claimed on 24 January that Lazio could be set to make an official offer of £8.6million to sign the former Aston Villa ace.

He stated that they will intensify their interest if a player leaves the Stadio Olimpico before the end of the window, naming Reda Belahyane as a potential candidate.

Why would Armstrong benefit most from Iroegbunam’s exit?
Iroegbunam has been used in a backup role mostly this season, featuring 17 times in the Premier League, with 11 starts, and six appearances from the bench.
If he were to depart, then Armstrong would likely fall into the role and get more opportunities to show what he can offer.
The move could work out for all parties, the Italian side get the man they want, David Moyes does not have to go into the transfer market for a replacement, he has the perfect one already, and the player gets to play for his boyhood club.
Club Appearances Goals Assists Everton 12 0 3 Derby County (loan) 15 1 0 Preston (loan) 17 1 1
The only party that it doesn’t work for is Preston, who want him back on loan, but if there is a chance for senior minutes on Merseyside, that is surely the best option for the young star.
The supporters would have a player that they can identify with, and who feels the same way that they do about their beloved club, rather than just using it as a stepping stone to greater things.
If Iroegbunam leaving is what it takes for the academy gem to get more gametime and forge his way into the first-team picture on a regular basis in an unexpected development, then so be it.
