View: Everton chase for Brazilian maestro surely back on with £8.6m exit on cards
Everton are in real need of a transfer lift ahead of the deadline, with time ticking for the Friedkin Group to help David Moyes.
Jack Grealish’s injury setback has dampened the mood at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after the Toffees’ most recent Premier League win against Aston Villa.
The winger is now set to be out for three months, with Moyes still waiting on his first signing of the January window.
Everton had multiple transfer targets lined up heading into the winter market, but so far, the Toffees haven’t even come close to landing a single player.
Gabriel Sara has been on Moyes’ radar for some time, and perhaps all that’s needed is a financial boost for the Friedkin Group to make a move.

Tim Ireogbunam exit opens the door for Gabriel Sara
As highlighted by Sofascore, Sara is an all-action midfielder who can create as well as score goals.
The Brazilian has the ability to play in an advanced midfield role, but has more often than not been deployed in a deep-lying position.
The 26-year-old has continued to develop his game at Galatasaray since leaving Norwich City in 2024, and would most likely be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Lazio are eying up a move to sign Tim Iroegbunam, with the reported fee around £8.6million.
There have been concerns over the Englishman’s ability to play in England’s top flight, which makes the interest one for Moyes and Co. to ponder over.
Sara is someone who has previously played in England and offers much more than Iroegbunam, as it may finally be time for the Friedkin Group to cash in on the latter.

James Garner needs a solid midfield partner next to him, and the bite that Sara offers, partnered with his technical abilities, could prove deadly for Everton.
How Iroegbunam exit funds Sara transfer
Sara is said to be worth around £17.3million, which should be more than achievable for the Freidkin Group.
There have been suggestions to say that Everton will look to utilise the loan market this window, but permanent sales arrivals haven’t been ruled out.
Player Contract length Estimated value Gabriel Sara August 2024 – June 2029 £17.3m
Iroegbunam could raise much-needed transfer fees for the Toffees, which could pay for some of Sara’s current market value.
While there would most likely be add-on fees for both transfers, the Friedkin Group should not be fazed by splashing the extra cash in bringing a true game-winner to Merseyside in the coming days.
