View: How much Tyler Dibling has cost Everton per Premier League minute
Tyler Dibling has played just 371 minutes of Premier League football for Everton this season.
One of the marquee additions of Everton’s summer transfer window, Dibling arrived at Hill Dickinson Stadium with plenty of excitement and expectation around him.
The 20-year-old winger had enjoyed a breakthrough season with Southampton in 2025-25, playing 38 times and scoring four goals in a team that finished rock-bottom of the Premier League with 12 points.
However, Dibling’s £35million move to Everton has not yet worked out for him, as he’s currently sitting on a mere 17 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees this term.

How much Tyler Dibling has cost Everton per league minute
There are already questions over Dibling’s Everton future being asked given his frustratingly slow start to life on Merseyside, which hasn’t been all his fault whatsoever.
David Moyes has only handed him four Premier League starts this season, with his other 10 league outings coming from the bench.
As per Sofascore, that’s seen his league action culminate in just 371 minutes on the pitch, with 27 minutes on average per game.

So, after turning to the calculator – we’re not all blessed with quickfire mathematic ability – and using his £35m transfer fee, that means Everton have paid £94,300 pounds for every minute Dibling has played in the Premier League this season.
To put that into context, Everton signed Seamus Coleman for a mere £60,000 in January 2009, meaning for less than one minute of league action for Dibling this term, the Toffees got Coleman’s well over 400-game career for the club.
Dibling may need some summer exits to evolve into Everton star
So, what can Dibling do to start turning around his Everton fortunes? Well, a good start for him may come in the form of some transfer exits this summer.
Indeed, ousting Iliman Ndiaye from the starting XI is a near-impossible task for him at this stage of his career, but the Senegalese star is sure to once again attract major transfer interest this summer.
Meanwhile, Everton not securing a permanent deal for Jack Grealish would also be a major boost, and the same goes for Chelsea loanee Tyrique George, with the Toffees holding the option to make his move permanent this summer.
If one or two of these things happen this summer, then Dibling would surely be primed to step into a starting role for the 2026-27 season, as Toffees chiefs are sure to want more out of him soon given the money they spent to acquire him.
