View: Moyes has already made it clear that he is delighted by Mohamed Salah exit news at Liverpool
Everton boss David Moyes has already made it clear that he is delighted by Mohamed Salah leaving Liverpool.
The Reds star is set to walk away from the club in the summer, despite having a year left on his £400,000-per-week contract.
The Blues’ local rivals have come to a mutual agreement with the Egyptian star that will see him become a free agent for the new season.
Salah has been a regular thorn in Everton’s side over the years, and they will be relieved that he is departing Anfield in the near future.

What did Moyes say about Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool exit?
Everton fans and Moyes would have been gutted when Salah signed a new deal with the Reds when it looked like his contract was set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Salah’s all-time stats for Liverpool Matches 435 Goals 255 Assists 122 Minutes played 35,333 Trophies won 9
Moyes has made his feelings on the Egyptian crystal clear, he rates him very highly as a player and joked that he could not wait to see him leave the Premier League in April of that year.
He said: “We’ll enjoy taking him to the airport, putting him on the plane, and taking him away”.
What is Salah’s record vs Everton?
Salah’s record against the Toffees is a very good one, he consistently produced against his Merseyside rivals, as the Sofascore graphic below highlights.
The 33-year-old has notched eight goals and three assists in 14 matches against the Hill Dickinson Stadium side.
His first contribution in the clash was a goal in the 1-1 draw at Anfield in the 2017-18 season, when he scored 44 goals and notched 16 assists.

That goal won him the FIFA Puskas award for the best goal of that year, after his mazy dribble and finish past Jordan Pickford.
He blanked in the next two appearances against the Blues in the 2018-19 campaign and did not come off the bench in either fixture as the Reds won the league in the following season.
He scored his next goal in the 2-2 draw at Goodison Park in the 2020-21 season, and bagged a brace in the away fixture and a goal at home in 2021-22.
Salah’s next strike against the Toffees came in a 2-0 win in front of his own supporters in the 2022-23 season, and he notched a double in another 2-0 home victory the following campaign.
He grabbed a goal and an assist in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison, and scored in the 2-1 win for his side at Anfield earlier this season.
The prolific winger’s final derby will come at the Blues’ new home on 19 April.
