View: Moyes has golden chance to solve Everton's goalscoring issues as exit conditions set
Everton have been woeful in front of goal at times this season, and a clear problem has developed for David Moyes.
Thierno Barry and Beto have struggled to find the back of the net consistently, with others having to pick up the goalscoring load.
Barry has improved over the last few weeks, even finding the winner as Everton beat Aston Villa 1-0 last Sunday.
However, Beto only has two goals to his name all season, and now he could be set for a move away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton could offload Beto in the winter window
Beto has been linked with an Everton exit over the last few months, with rumours that his poor form for the Merseyside outfit could force him out the door.
The 27-year-old joined the Toffees back in the summer of 2023, but has only scored 14 Premier League goals in 82 appearances.
Despite his problems finding the back of the net, the Guinea-Bissau international does have some teams interested in signing him.
Turkish side Fenerbahce submitted a formal loan offer for Beto last Friday, but according to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, it was rejected by Everton, as they want to permanently sell the striker for £17million.
While the Toffees were unable to offload the struggling centre-forward this time around, the bid does show that there are teams interested, and an exit is definitely possible before the transfer deadline.
Moyes should be doing everything he can to get Beto out the door, so that he can bring in a new striker within the next week.
Who could Everton sign?
If Everton do manage to offload Beto, then they will need to get a replacement in for the remainder of the season.
Barry has scored three goals in his last five games and is beginning to realise some of his potential, but the Frenchman needs backup.
Everton have been linked with Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who is pushing for a move in the winter window.
The Norwegian has only scored one Premier League goal this season, but was superb last term, finding the back of the net 14 times in the top-flight.

Leeds United are currently leading the race for Strand Larsen, but if the Merseyside outfit submitted a big bid for the Wolves man, they could catapult themselves into contention for his signature.
