David Moyes has one of the toughest weeks as Everton manager.

Everton loan star Jack Grealish has been ruled out for the foreseeable future, and may have played his last game for the Blues.

Youssef En-Nesyri looks set to pick Juventus over a potential move to Everton too, so his search for a new striker is back to square one.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium manager is set for even more bad news after the whereabouts of one exit-linked star’s agent were exposed.

What has Beto’s agent done that will upset Everton?

Beto’s agent has been spotted in Turkey, trying to negotiate an exit for his client, as Fenerbahce have made a bid.

Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu claimed on X on 23 January that the 27-year-old’s representative had concluded a meeting with the Yellow Canaries, and shared an image.

He stated that the agent is set to stay in Istanbul and commence further talks with the 19-time domestic champions tomorrow, about a potential switch.

Why will David Moyes be heartbroken amid Beto developments?

While Beto has not exactly been prolific this season, notching just three goals in 25 appearances, Moyes still does not want to lose him, as he is an experienced option and one of only two strikers in his ranks.

The Scotsman claimed that he had not heard about any transfer speculation involving the Guinea-Bissau forward in his pre-Leeds press conference on 23 January.

He said: “I know nothing about it at the moment, no.

“We wouldn’t [be prepared to let him go] because we’ve not got enough [strikers].”

It looks as though Moyes may be set to be blindsided then, if he is not aware of the potential dealings, and could be left short if the Toffees sanction a move for the veteran to exit.

The 62-year-old looks set for another heartbreak in a week that has already dealt him multiple difficult updates, and given that he has already lost Grealish, another attacker departing would be a huge loss.

Moyes needs the Friedkin Group and the recruitment team that are under their control to add to his squad, rather than allowing players to depart, if he is to achieve his ambitions this season.

He will surely be concerned about the direction that the transfer window has taken, and that his side are yet to add the required quality to compete for the European places.
