View: Rangers may have found Cerny V2, but it might not be a good thing
Mikey Moore was on form again for Rangers as they saw off Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday.
Rangers moved one step closer to the league title with a 4-2 win over Dundee United on Saturday, and while Moore wasn’t on the score sheet, he played yet another influential role.
The teenager was everywhere for the Light Blues, as he has been all season, and when in possession, he posed a serious threat to the visitors’ backline, without getting anything to show for it.
It wasn’t the prettiest performance in general from Rangers, but there were still several points to take from the win.
And one of them is that Rangers may have found their Vaclav Cerny replacement, albeit one who will leave the Gers in a similar position.

Mikey Moore shows that he can be relied upon at Rangers
When Cerny was wearing the famous blue of Rangers, he was the type of player who fans just knew would do something almost every time he went forward.
He ended the season with 18 goals and nine assists in 52 appearances, with 16 of those having come in the Scottish Premiership.
Moore 25-26 Scottish Premiership Cerny 24-25 0.33 Goals per 90 0.43 2.18 Dribbles per 90 1.70 0.36 Big chances created per 90 0.22 1.14 Shots on target per 90 1.41 4.86 Duels won per 90 2.60
Moore may not hit the same numbers as the Czech winger did, but he has certainly had a similar influence in the sense that most of Rangers’ good forward players come from his side of the pitch.

The issue with Cerny was that the Light Blues failed in their attempts to retain him after a successful loan spell, and a similar situation is likely to unfold with Moore this summer.
Could Rangers sign Moore again this summer?
Rangers’ hopes of signing Moore largely depend on what happens at Tottenham, and even then, it’s hard to gauge their chances.
Should Spurs stay in the Premier League, it feels unlikely that Moore will get as much gametime as he would like, potentially opening the door to another loan.
If they are relegated, Spurs will want to keep him, but the teen may prove to be far too good to play at that level and look for a move elsewhere.
Either way, Rangers will face a battle to get Moore back at Ibrox next summer, potentially leaving them in the same position they were in the previous summer.
