Who has been called up for Rangers training camp?
Ashton Scally is one highly rated Rangers youngster who has been called up for the La Manga trip, Rohl wanted to play him in the Scottish Cup but was prevented by the rules as he is only 15.
Goalkeeper Rydnn McGuire is the other one who will feature, as announced by the Rangers academy account on X on 18 April.
Both have attracted interest from Premier League clubs, so it may well help convince them to stick around in Govan.
Why academy is so important for Rangers
Rangers needed to switch their focus when it came to the academy, they have not brought enough players through in recent years.
The likes of Ross McCausland and Findlay Curtis are rare exceptions who have emerged in the last few seasons, but the production has not been good.
The 49ers Enterprises, Andrew Cavenagh and Rohl all seem to be aligned on producing a pathway, to stop the rot and get some homegrown talent into the squad.

That should benefit the Bears, as their greatest teams have always featured stars who came from within, like Ally McCoist and Barry Ferguson and recent sides have not had that.
The fact that the manager has brought two talents on the trip with him, shows that he is willing to look to the academy if he needs to, and suggests a brighter future for that part of the Auchenhowie outfit.
It is part of the Gers’ identity and it has been lacking, so it is good to see that he is turning to the youth.
