Luka Vuskovic could be one of Tottenham’s biggest transfer revelations in recent times.

Spurs officially signed the youngster from Croatian side Hajduk Split in the summer after a deal was initially agreed back in 2023.

The Lilywhites then decided to send Vuskovic on loan to German side Hamburg SV, where the 18-year-old has been playing regular first-team football this season.

Tottenham are still looking to sign players in the winter transfer market, but they may hold back on any new central-defensive additions, given the recent performances of Vuskovic.

Luka Vuskovic hailed for terrific performance vs Bayern Munich

Tottenham have high hopes for Vuskovic, who played a part in some pre-season friendly games for Frank in the summer.

The centre-back is tied down to N17 until the summer of 2030, which means Spurs have plenty of time to watch their youngster potentially develop into a world-class defender.

They’ll certainly take a great deal of confidence after Vuskovic scored in Hamburg’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich on Saturday.

According to Marca’s print edition on Sunday, Vuskovic’s performance versus Bayern Munich was more proof of why he is “one of the most promising centre-backs in the world”.

The Spanish outlet has claimed that the Spurs loanee has been performing well in the Bundesliga, and his display this weekend only confirmed the truth about his potential.

Vuskovic will return to Hotspur Way in the summer once his loan deal with the Bundesliga side expires.

A statistical nosedive into the Croatian’s numbers from the game proves further evidence of the gem that Tottenham have on their hands.

Vuskovic was spotless vs Bayern Munich; Tottenham won’t believe their luck

Spurs have spent money on young talents in recent years, with some failing, and some proving to be successful, like Lucas Bergvall.

Johan Lange and Co. always conduct extensive research into youth prospects, and for all that Tottenham‘s recruitment team gets, they deserve credit for finding Vuskovic.

As highlighted by Sofascore, Vuskovic was given a 7.5 rating against Bayern Munich, despite his side letting in two goals to Harry Kane’s side. The rating is a reflection of the centre-half’s defensive contributions, as well as his goal.

He completed 75 per cent of his aerial duels, performing seven clearances and making one tackle.

Tottenham fans will be waiting to see their new starboy in action later this year, but talks are ongoing to extend Vuskovic’s stay with Hamburg until the end of next season.
