View: Striker wanted by Everton makes himself even more attractive with European exploits
Troy Parrott has continued to show why multiple clubs hold interest in signing him, including Everton, after his performance for AZ in Europe.
Next summer will be a key window for Everton, who will, no matter how this season ends, look to push into the European places again in 2026-2027.
However, in this campaign, they could reach that goal, as they sit in eighth place and are just five points behind fifth.
The area of centre-forward has long been a problem for the L3 outfit, and if they do secure European football, then it becomes even more of a priority.
Parrott, who is competing in Europe with AZ, may have just put himself at the fore of the shop window.

What did Troy Parrott do in Europe?
If Everton qualify for Europe, the Toffees will need to bring in a centre-forward who can produce the goods.
Right now, the likes of Thierno Barry and Beto provide little hope in that regard, with neither forward scoring more than six Premier League goals so far.
Overall, it has been an underwhelming campaign from Moyes’ current striking options.
The Merseyside club have been tipped to sign numerous number nines, but Parrott’s latest performances for AZ could push him up the list.
As the Eredivisie club took on Sparta Prague in the Conference League round of 16, the Irish striker struck a brace to hand his side the advantage.
His ability to deal with the pressure of a European knockout tie and deliver by scoring two goals is an asset that must be appealing to Hill Dickinson officials.
If Everton look to target Parrott, they will not want to miss out again. Parrott already revealed he rejected Everton years before.
Eyes will be on Parrott once more next week to see if he can recreate his heroics in the second leg.
How much could Troy Parrott cost Everton?
Previous reports suggested that a fee around £31million could have been enough to prise Parrott away from AZ in the winter window.
And that is a figure that could be deemed as fair market value for the 24-year-old. According to the CIES Football Observatory, Parrott’s current maximum value is around £30.2m.
However, if the Irish striker continues in this rich vein of form until the end of the season, qualifies for the World Cup and then shines on that stage too, the price could exponentially increase.
If Everton qualify for Europe, they must move quickly to sign this striker, who has proven himself on that stage.
