View: TFG should be embarrassed as alarming transfer news emerges for Everton target
Everton have failed to get the signing of Bologna’s Emil Holm over the line.
Everton have been incredibly quiet in the winter transfer window, and The Friedkin Group has come under pressure for their lack of activity.
Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri was linked with the Toffees, but neither side couldn’t agree on terms for the striker.
Chairman Dan Friedkin has failed to help David Moyes in the transfer market, and Holm’s imminent move to Juventus is another one of his failures.

Everton target Emil Holm set to join Juventus on loan
Holm has been linked with Everton throughout January, and the Toffees reportedly offered Nathan Patterson to the Serie A side as part of a cash-plus-player deal.
Beto was also offered to Bologna, but it became clear that the Italian side weren’t keen on seeing their right-back leave without securing a replacement.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Juventus and Bologna have agreed on a loan deal for Holm.

The Sweden international will join on loan, and Juventus have the option to buy him in the summer.
Although the deal is separate, Portuguese right-back Joao Mario will move to Bologna, and it’s clear that both clubs were able to come to an easy agreement.
Friedkin proposing Beto, a striker, in a swap deal for Holm is frankly embarrassing, and the Toffees still have to address their issues on the right-hand side of defence.
The Toffees used four centre-backs across their defence in the 1-1 draw against Brighton on Saturday, and they desperately need more attacking threat from out wide.

The failure to sign Holm could derail Everton’s season
Holm has registered impressive attacking numbers in the first half of the season, with the Swedish international providing four assists in his nine Serie A appearances.
It’s clear that he would have been a significant upgrade on Jake O’Brien and Nathan Patterson.
If Friedkin operated swiftly at the start of January, the Toffees would have a right-back on their hands who is versatile in both boxes.
Instead, they lack depth and reliability from both of their current options, and it’s a sign that the chairman still has a lot to prove to Everton fans.
With the transfer deadline coming at 7:00pm on 2 February, it now looks incredibly unlikely that they’ll bring anyone in.
And it could be the nail in the coffin for their European ambitions.
