Vincent Kompany brings up 100 Bayern Munich games as head coach in style with Real Madrid win
When Kompany took over as Bayern coach on 1 July 2024, having just been relegated from the English Premier League with Burnley, there were more than a few eyebrows raised, but since then, the Belgian has thoroughly proved all of his doubters wrong.
In Kompany’s 100 games in charge, Bayern have won 76 games, drawn 13 and lost 11, a record that averages out to a staggering 2.41 points per game. Bayern have also scored 302 goals during Kompany’s tenure and conceded just 100.
Having won the Bundesliga in his debut campaign, Bayern have stepped it up another gear this season, winning each of their first 16 games in all competitions before drawing 2-2 with Union Berlin on Matchday 10 in the Bundesliga. That fine form has continued, with Bayern still competing on all fronts, having already won the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup in August.
