Zadok Yohanna: Nigerian talent on the radar of three German clubs

Super Eagles prospect Zadok Yohanna is a subject of serious transfer interest ahead of the summer window, with three top German clubs monitoring his situation, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining Swedish side AIK from Ikon Allah Football Academy in 2025. He has already become an important player for the club and his performances have started to draw attention from teams across Europe.

Since the start of 2026, the left-footed attacker has scored four goals and provided three assists in eight appearances across all competitions. Three of those goals came in the Swedish Cup, where AIK were knocked out at the quarter-final stage. He has also contributed one goal and two assists in the Swedish league, with AIK currently sitting fifth in the table after three rounds of matches.

Unsurprisingly, his form has not gone unnoticed and scouts have been closely tracking his progress, making a summer move very likely, although his next destination is still unclear as several clubs remain in the race for his signature.

According to reports from Germany, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are the latest clubs to show interest, with all three preparing potential bids once the transfer window opens.

Zadok Yohanna’s standout displays for AIK have caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly leading the group of German clubs keen on signing him this summer.

AIK have reportedly placed a valuation of around €20–25 million on the youngster, depending on how he performs for the rest of the season, a fee that is well within reach for the interested clubs.

Given the Bundesliga’s strong reputation for developing young players, a move to Germany would make sense for the growth of the Nigerian talent. Any club he chooses would have a long-term impact on his future and his chances of establishing himself in the Super Eagles setup in the future.
