Aberdeen vs Celtic postponement update as Met Office issue new snow warning for Scotland
The clash between Aberdeen and Celtic on Wednesday night could potentially be in doubt.
The meeting between two of Scotland’s most historic clubs could have a crucial say in deciding where the Premiership title goes at the end of the season, with the Bhoys battling it out with Hearts and Rangers at the top of the table.
Celtic enjoyed a busy deadline day as they welcomed three new additions to the squad on loan deals until the end of the season.
Martin O’Neill has been desperate to add to his group ahead of the run-in to the end of the season, but he and his team could potentially be about to see their schedule altered due to the weather.

Aberdeen set for snow throughout Tuesday and Wednesday
Aberdeen have had a busy window of their own, as they added six new faces to their squad in a bid to push towards the top half of the table before the upcoming league split.
The Dons were beaten 3-0 away at relegation-threatened Kilmarnock last time out, and they may have to wait a little while longer before they get the chance to put that result right.
Aberdeen has been covered by the Met Office’s yellow weather warning that has been issued across Scotland for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The warning is in place throughout Tuesday and up until 3pm on Wednesday afternoon, just hours before Aberdeen are due to kick off against Celtic at Pittodrie at 8pm.
Heavy snow is expected in the region, which could potentially put the game at risk of postponement if either the pitch or entrances to the ground are not fit for use.

The Met Office say that roads and transport links are also likely to be affected, meaning fans will need to take extra care when travelling to and from the game if it goes ahead.
Who do Rangers and Hearts play in midweek?
Celtic are locked in a battle at the top of the Premiership, as they and Rangers attempt to chase down leaders Hearts, who currently have a six-point gap to the Old Firm duo.
With that in mind, every point matters between now and the end of the season, and both the supporters and the teams themselves are sure to have a keen eye on their rivals’ fortunes with every passing game.
Dates Hearts Celtic Rangers 3-4 February St Mirren (A) Aberdeen (A) Kilmarnock (H) 10-11 February Hibs (H) Livingston (H) Motherwell (A) 14-15 February Rangers (A) Kilmarnock (A) Hearts (H) 21-22 February Falkirk (H) Hibs (H) Livingston (A) 28 February – 1 March Aberdeen (H) Rangers (A) Celtic (H)
The top three all face favourable fixtures against teams in the bottom half of the table in the latest round of midweek fixtures, as Hearts travel to take on St Mirren, while Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox.
Derek McInnes’ Hearts have the opportunity to strike the first blow of this round of fixtures, as their game is the only one to take place on Tuesday evening, while the rest of the league follow suit on Wednesday.
That gives the table-toppers the perfect opportunity to place even more pressure on the chasing pack, as they bid to get their points on the board early ahead of their rivals’ fixtures.
