Barcelona ‘end relationship’ with Marcus Rashford as Manchester City twist emerges
Marcus Rashford is set to return to Manchester United next summer after Barcelona reportedly decided against signing him permanently.
Barcelona signed Rashford on loan in the summer, and the winger has enjoyed a strong start to life in Spain.
The England international has scored seven goals and provided eight assists across all competitions this season, including braces against Newcastle United and Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Last week, Rashford said that he wants to stay at Barcelona, but decision-makers at Camp Nou appear to have alternative plans.
European champions PSG have been linked with Rashford, and could be ready to make a move for the 28-year-old if he becomes available.

Barcelona rule out Marcus Rashford signing
Barcelona have an option to buy Rashford next summer that is reportedly worth around £30million.
The winger has looked like a player reborn since making the switch, with Thomas Tuchel now keen to involve him in the England set-up.
It was difficult last season for Rashford, who was dropped from the Manchester United squad mid-season after an apparent falling out with Ruben Amorim.

The 28-year-old had already begun to falter in the closing stages of the Erik ten Hag era, but Amorim’s arrival saw his relationship with the club break down completely.
He was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the season, but ultimately returned after picking up an injury at the end of the campaign.
Despite Rashford’s rebirth at Barcelona, however, Fichajes reported on Sunday that the England international’s option to buy will not be triggered.
The La Liga giants consider the financial commitment beyond their reach and have decided to “end its relationship” with the winger.
Barcelona to explore Manchester City possibilities
The Spanish outlet also reports that Barcelona are keen to target Manchester City in their search for an economic alternative to Rashford.
Savinho has been named as the standout candidate for a loan move, with Barca ready to pay 65 per cent of his salary next season.

The Brazilian has largely been resigned to appearances off the bench for Pep Guardiola‘s team in recent months, and it is hoped that he could have a similar impact to Rashford.
Tottenham attempted to sign Savinho in the summer, but ultimately could not meet the asking price. Should they return next summer, however, Barcelona’s plans could be complicated.
