Dwight McNeil has message for all Everton fans as redemption arc continues vs Burnley
Dwight McNeil sent a message that Everton supporters will love after their 2-0 win against Burnley.
David Moyes‘ side continued their unlikely charge toward the European spots after delivering an impressive performance at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday night.
James Tarkowski’s bullet header broke the deadlock after 32 minutes, before Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall doubled the hosts’ lead on the hour mark after clipping over Martin Dubravka.
Fresh from clinching their first victory at home in the Premier League in almost three months, the Toffees moved just one point behind seventh-placed Brentford.
Dwight McNeil crucial in big Everton win
McNeil looked almost certain to leave Everton during the winter transfer window, only for a move to Crystal Palace to collapse in the final knockings of deadline day.
The brutal setback, which came about after Palace’s failure to lodge documentation in time, is known to have affected him, but he has instead taken his game to new heights.
That was once again on show against Burnley, and post-match, he couldn’t help but share his delight.
Seemingly burning the midnight oil after being named the man of the match, McNeil took to his Instagram story and simply wrote “UTFT”, alongside three blue heart emojis.
Toffees supporters will undoubtedly have appreciated the post, with the 26-year-old seemingly determined to leave his Palace transfer saga in the past.

McNeil was equally outstanding in the 3-2 victory against Newcastle at St James’ Park on February 28, and his displays are edging Everton ever closer to European football.
Will is McNeil’s contract situation and will he now stay at Everton?
At present, the former Burnley man looks set to stay at the club, with Moyes surely impressed by his displays.
His contract will run down in the summer of 2027, and Everton will therefore be content to hold off on stepping up talks over a new deal until at least the summer.
McNeil’s price tag stands at around £20million, a figure Palace were initially prepared to meet last month before pulling out at the last minute. On paper, that still looks a bargain.

But the ace is clearly enjoying his football again on Merseyside and has emerged as a crucial figure in a late dash toward the Conference League and Europa League places.
If he keeps it up, he will richly deserve lucrative new terms.
