Edmond Tapsoba signs Bayer Leverkusen contract extension
Tapsoba was a cornerstone of the Leverkusen team that won the Bundesliga under Xabi Alonso in 2024, and has now made 267 appearances for the club since joining from Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães in 2020.
“It’s an extraordinary and very emotional thing. Staying with one club for so long – that’s not something you see very often in today’s professional football,” said Tapsoba. "Bayer Leverkusen has become something special for me, a second home where I’ve made many friends. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. I’ve had great experiences here and have been able to celebrate fantastic titles. That’s exactly what we’ll strive for again in the future."
