Bayern Munich’s Raphaël Guerreiro faces spell on sidelines
Guerreiro started in Bayern’s stunning 4-3 comeback victory over Mainz on Matchday 31 but had to be withdrawn and replaced with Jamal Musiala in the 57th minute, with the Bundesliga champions chasing a 3-1 deficit.
The club has since confirmed via its official channels that the Portuguese international suffered a minor muscle tear in his left hamstring, leaving him “ruled out for now”.
It’s potentially a big blow for Bayern ahead of the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash away to holders Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening at the Parc des Princes, as Guerreiro joins a growing injury list already comprised of the likes of Serge Gnabry, Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof.
