Everton in talks over Grealish move as confidence grows at Hill Dickinson Stadium - report

Everton are in talks to sign Jack Grealish, and there is increasing confidence that they can sign him again.

The 30-year-old had notched two goals and six assists in 22 matches before a foot fracture ruled him out for the rest of the season.

He has taken to Evertonians’ hearts and seems to have a very positive relationship with the supporters after his exploits on Merseyside.

A report from the Daily Mail on 2 April claims that Grealish may be set to extend his time in L4, and discussions are ongoing over another loan or a permanent deal, with growing confidence that a deal could be struck.

Everton would love to land Grealish outright or for another temporary spell, and it appears that they may be close to getting their wish.

Why Everton are in talks rather than just settling Grealish option

Everton have an option to buy Grealish for £50million, but they may well try to negotiate a cheaper fee, given his age.

The Friedkin Group may not want to spend such an amount on an ageing player, despite his status as a fan favourite after just a few months at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It would provide a huge boost for the fanbase if the American ownership were to bring Grealish back permanently, but the figures must be right.

What would Grealish deal mean for the Toffees?

Grealish’s arrival for a second stint or even permanently would be a signal that the Blues are heading in the right direction.

He will not be short of interest, given his heroics on Merseyside in the first half of the campaign, so if they can convince him to return, it would show that he believes in the vision.

David Moyes’ side looks like they are going to qualify for Europe at the end of the season, and the England hopeful may decide that he wants to lead them in continental competition.
