Everton star wanted in possible late swap deal as constraints emerge before deadline - report
Everton could part ways with Beto before the transfer window shuts.
The Guinea-Bissau international joined Everton in August 2023 from Italian side Udinese, and it’s safe to say that the move hasn’t gone to plan.
Beto has been woeful in front of goal, and as David Moyes has completely lost faith in the 27-year-old, Fenerbahce and Juventus are among the clubs that are interested.
Beto’s agent travelled to Istanbul to hold talks with Fenerbahce, but the Turkish giants weren’t willing to meet the £17.3million asking price.
With the transfer window shutting on 2 February, the Toffees are running out of time to sell the striker, although Bologna has now emerged as a potential destination.

Emil Holm still wanted by Everton
Emil Holm has been linked with Everton throughout January, and the Toffees reportedly offered Nathan Patterson to the Serie A side as part of a cash-plus-player deal.
That news was quickly dismissed by the Liverpool Echo on 13 January, although it’s clear that Moyes wants to bring the Sweden international to L4.
According to TuttaBolognaWeb, the Serie A side has now explored the possibility of signing Beto on loan.
Stat Beto Appearances 83 Goals 13 Assists 0
Everton want to use him in a possible swap deal for Holm, but that request has been rejected.
Bologna’s tough financial constraints mean they are seeking a loan deal with an option to buy, but the Toffees remain clear that they only want to let go of Beto permanently.
As Holm is such a key player for the Italians, a transfer this late in the window would be difficult, and Beto’s value may not match up fully.
Therefore, talks are at a standstill between both clubs, and both Holm and Beto will likely be denied their respective transfers, despite the interest.

The Friedkin Group’s transfer strategy is completely baffling
It’s an incredibly strange move to propose a swap deal that involves a striker and a right-back.
This doesn’t solve anything for Bologna, and it’s not a surprise that they’ll only let Holm leave for a deal that includes just money.
The Friedkin Group haven’t covered themselves in any glory over the winter transfer window, and the Toffees are yet to sign anyone.
Holm has registered impressive attacking numbers in the first half of the season, with the Swedish international providing four assists in his nine Serie A appearances.
Stat Holm Appearances 19 Goals 1 Assists 5 Minutes played 1,240
Everton have wasted so much time in negotiations for the 25-year-old, and it’s not a good look for The Friedkin Group.
As for Beto, the problem is not the amount of clubs interested in him, but it’s Everton’s wish to only let him go on a permanent deal.
With the deadline approaching, they may have to change their stance, or they risk losing even more money on him in the summer.
