Everton state of play: Injury news, upcoming fixtures and what’s needed to qualify for Europe
Everton are on course for immense success this season, but David Moyes still has work to do to achieve that.
The 3-0 win over Chelsea before the international break has moved the Toffees up to eighth place in the table, and fans are dreaming of qualifying for Europe for the first time since 2016-17.
They are now just three points off fifth-placed Liverpool, and Moyes has done a fantastic job to get his side into this position after 31 games.
The Toffees have seven games to prove they have what it takes, although it won’t be easy, as only four points separate seventh and 13th place.
As Everton are fighting for European football, we assess everything you need to know about their run-in.

What are Everton’s upcoming fixtures?
Although the Toffees went two months without a home win, it’s their away form that has kept them in the top half of the table for the majority of the season.
Victories over Man United, Aston Villa and Newcastle have certainly helped, but their win over Chelsea in L4 has given the fans a lot of optimism.
What Everton might be concerned about is the difficulty of their upcoming fixtures.
Opponent League position Brentford (a) 7th Liverpool (h) 5th West Ham (a) 18th Man City (h) 2nd Crystal Palace (a) 14th Sunderland (h) 11th Tottenham (a) 17th
When looking at the graphic above, the Toffees actually have a fairly kind end to the season, and they’ll fancy their chances to pick all three points in their last few matches.
However, it’s their games against Brentford and Liverpool which will have a huge impact on the race for European football.
England are almost guaranteed to have five places in next season’s Champions League, which means that finishing eighth would qualify a team for the Conference League.
The only way this wouldn’t happen is if a team that finishes outside of the top seven wins the FA Cup.

Everton are currently in a good position, and if they manage to avoid defeat against Brentford and Liverpool, they will have done most of the hard work.
Injury latest at Everton ahead of Premier League run-in
And luckily for Moyes, he has the majority of his players available for the rest of the campaign.
Jack Grealish is out due to a fractured foot he suffered in January, while Charly Alcaraz is also out for the foreseeable future.
Although he missed both friendlies for Senegal over the international break, Iliman Ndiaye should recover in time for the trip to Brentford on 11 April.

Otherwise, the squad is fitter than ever, particularly given the fact that they have a three-week gap between their last and their next game.
Moyes will be quietly confident that his Everton side can get over the line, and there can’t be too many excuses if they collapse from this position.
