Exit-linked Everton midfielder sends message to Aston Villa player who's left on loan

Tim Iroegbunam had been heavily linked with an exit from Everton.

Everton’s winter transfer window hasn’t sparked too much optimism, though there will be some positives to take from the fact that they aren’t going to end it empty-handed.

Tyrique George has completed his medical ahead of a loan move from Chelsea, with the Toffees also believed to have the option to make it permanent in the summer.

However, several Everton stars have also been linked with moves away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium, including Iopregunma, who has reacted to the latest transfer announcement.

West Brom announce loan capture of Premier League youngster

Mainly due to the absences of Idrissa Gueye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Iroegbunam has had plenty of opportunities under David Moyes this season.

However, with both of the mentioned duo now back from AFCON duty and injury, respectively, there has been some doubt as to where Iroegbunam’s future lies.

Lazio were linked with a late move for the midfielder, but the Toffees held firm on their stance to keep him at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

As of right now, it seems highly unlikely he will be going anywhere, but one player who has moved on from the Premier League is Aston Villa’s Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba, who has joined West Brom on loan in the Championship.

The new Baggies forward announced his arrival in an Instagram post on deadline day, with Iroegbunam liking the post.

What can be expected at Everton in final stages of window?

George’s move from Chelsea looks to be done, with the 19-year-old putting the finishing touches on his loan deal.

The Toffees had until 7pm to finalise a deal, but could announce his arrival at any stage over the next 24 hours.

In terms of incoming business, that is looking to be the only deal that the Toffees do this winter.

In regard to outgoings, Dwight McNeil has been linked with a late exit from Everton.

While rumours of a move to Sunderland have been squashed, there are still links connecting him with a move to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are said to have made a £20million bid to seal his permanent arrival, though it remains to be seen how advanced that deal will get with it being such a late approach.
