Ibrox View: Archer to Rangers could be back on after 'fascinating' transfer development
Cameron Archer’s proposed move to Ibrox could be back on the cards.
Rangers’ hunt for a new striker looks set to go down to the wire, with the Light Blues having until 11pm to conclude their winter business.
A move for Ryan Naderi to join Rangers is still possible, though the latest reports suggest he could be loaned back to Hansta Rostock for the rest of the campaign.
Archer had been linked with Rangers, with it claimed not long after that a deal was looking unlikely.
However, the latest domino effect could be set to change that.

AC Milan update may have given Rangers hope
Archer’s proposed move to Ibrox hinged on many factors, from Wolves to Crystal Palace and all the way to AC Milan.
Starting with Wolves, Jacob Strand Larsen looked set for a move to Crystal Palace, with the Midlands club looking to sign Adam Armstrong from Southampton as a replacement.
However, Strand Larsen was seen as a replacement for Jean-Philippe Mateta, whose move to AC Milan is now off, casting doubt over the move for the Norwegian.
Going back to the root cause, that could mean that Armstrong remains at Southampton, which could allow Archer to seal a loan move to Ibrox.
Archer has scored just two goals for the Saints this season, having been utilised as a bit-part player, as showcased by his below Sofascore graphic.

A report from Sky Sports states that Armstrong’s move is still possibly on the cards, but emphasises how developments over the next few hours will be “fascinating”.
Rangers’ title hopes are fading by the minute
Not only did Rangers’ 0-0 draw with Hibernian serve as a blow to their title chances, but there’s a case to be made that their ability to win it hinges on these next few hours.
James Tavernier is the Gers’ top scorer, showcasing the attacking struggles that have plagued their season so far.
There will be confidence that a new striker can be brought in before the deadline tonight, but the likelihood of that happening will reduce each hour.
All eyes will be on Ibrox for the next eight hours or so, with plenty of twists and turns expected between now and then.
