Jack Grealish and James Tarkowski respond to Jordan Pickford announcement at Everton
Jordan Pickford has become one of Everton‘s most important players as David Moyes attempts to push the club forward.
The Toffees are currently sitting eighth in the Premier League table, five points off the European spots, and a lot of the team’s success can be put down to the defence and the man in between the sticks.
Only Arsenal’s David Raya and Man City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma have more clean sheets than the England international, and he is now being acknowledged for his achievements.
Everton’s transfer plans will already be taking shape, but any summer reinforcements are unlikely to include a new goalkeeper after Pickford’s recent heroics at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jordan Pickford rightfully earns an award at Everton
Pickford went viral last month for an incredible save against Newcastle United, thwarting Sandro Tonali from netting a long-range strike to cement their three points at St James’ Park.
His match-winning save earned him a nomination for February’s Save of the Month, alongside some huge names, and he has now been named as the rightful winner.
Taking to Instagram (13 March), the official club account wrote: “Never in doubt. Jordan Pickford has won the Premier League Save of the Month for February, recognised for his stunning stop against Newcastle United.”
Jack Grealish and James Tarkowski were joined by Dwight McNeil when liking the announcement, showing their love for the award-winning goalkeeper on Merseyside.
Everton already have a plan for their shot-stopper
The 32-year-old has been on Merseyside since the summer of 2017, racking up 349 appearances for the Toffees after joining from Newcastle’s rivals, Sunderland.
After making his incredible save against the Magpies, Football Insider revealed that Everton are in no mood to sell Pickford, even if clubs were to come knocking for the player.
It doesn’t appear that any so-called “big” Premier League teams have ever come in for Pickford’s signature over the years, but that has only been music to the Toffees’ ears.
Many believe that the England international will retire at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but after his performances this season, he could be the team’s goalkeeper for years to come.
