Everton star Beto will surely have no issue signing a new contract after what he has witnessed from supporters.

The Guinea-Bissau forward notched two goals in the Toffees’ 3-0 win over Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 21 March, and provided the assist for Iliman Ndiaye’s strike.

His current contract with the Blues is set to expire in the summer of 2027, which will give David Moyes and his bosses a decision to make in the near future, as he will have one year left at the end of the season.

Everton have tied several players down to new deals recently, and the 28-year-old may be the next man up.

What did Beto notice about Everton fans?

Beto has been a frustrating figure at Everton, but when he is on it, he is a menace to Premier League defences, with his strength and presence.

He opened up on the “crazy” supporters after the contest, and he was shocked by the scenes ahead of the clash with Stamford Bridge supporters.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “It was something crazy.

“At the hotel, they were outside shouting and with the flares.

“I asked Gana ‘what’s happening.’ He said ‘they are feeling we are going to beat these guys.’ The atmosphere was amazing. Like Goodison again”

Given the backing that the supporters gave him and his teammates and his comments, he will surely want to stay and experience it more often.

Why Everton have an easy decision on Beto’s future

Strikers are one of the hardest positions to find quality in the transfer market, which has proved to be the case for the Blues in recent years.

The former Udinese man has proven to be a reliable goalscorer at times, scoring eight goals last season, and he is now on six for the current campaign.

If he can reach 10 goals before the end of the season, then Moyes and Co should have an easy decision to make when it comes to his contract, and the potential for a new one.
