James Tarkowski jokes about Everton social media post - 'Terrible'
James Tarkowski is not impressed with the social media team at Everton, despite hitting an impressive milestone on Merseyside.
The 33-year-old made his 150th Everton appearance as the Toffees beat Newcastle 3-2 on Saturday.
Signing from Burnley in 2022, Tarkowski has become a key cog in Everton’s backline under Frank Lampard, Sean Dyche and now David Moyes.
Moyes’ side are in good spirits, with their win on the Tyne keeping their European dreams well and truly alive, with Everton sitting eighth in the Premier League.
Announcing Tarkowski’s milestone on social media, the defender wasn’t best pleased with the image chosen alongside his achievement.

The former Burnley and Brentford defender has been a stalwart in Everton’s backline since making the switch in 2022, fast-tracking his way to 150 appearances for the club by 2026.
Teammate Jack Grealish, alongside friends and supporters, rushed to congratulate the Toffees captain following Everton’s social media post.
Though Tarkowski himself was not best pleased, joking about the image used.
“Terrible picture, nice milestone,” said Tarkowski, posting his reaction on his Instagram story.
With Seamus Coleman no longer a starter at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Tarkowski wears the armband and is set to do so once again as Everton welcome his former club, Burnley, to Merseyside on Tuesday.
Tarkowski could be unsung hero to guide Everton to Europe
After multiple years fighting at the wrong end of the Premier League, Everton are now in a much more favourable position as they look to fight for Europe once again.
Never the most fashionable defender, Tarkowski has potentially never quite received the credit he deserves across the division, but he has remained a fantastic leader and servant for both Burnley and the Toffees in the top flight.

An eighth-place finish is likely to come with the reward of UEFA Conference League qualification this term, with Everton occupying that spot now.
The Toffees have not played European football since the 2017/18 term, with the subsequent years involving relegation scraps rather than charges for Europe.
Moyes has revitalised the Blues on the pitch since retaking the job last season, and Tarkowski could be the first Everton captain to lead them into continental football since Phil Jagielka almost a decade ago.
