Max Aarons jokes about Rangers requests he gets from Kenny McLean in new online video
Max Aarons has joked about Kenny McLean’s ticket requests following his move to Rangers.
McLean made his 300th appearance for Norwich City on Sunday afternoon, as the Canaries fell to a 3-0 FA Cup defeat against Leeds United.
The midfielder was released by Rangers’ youth team in 2008, before kickstarting his senior career with St Mirren and moving into English football.
One of McLean’s former teammates at Carrow Road, Aarons, has joked about the amount of ticketing requests in a congratulatory video for the 34-year-old.

Max Aarons aims at Kenny McLean ticket requests
Signing for Norwich in 2018, McLean recently made his 300th appearance for the club, after playing a part in multiple promotion campaigns under Daniel Farke.
Appearing on BBC Radio Norfolk, McLean was showered with praise from former teammates.
Aarons, who made over 200 appearances at Carrow Road said: “I think the only negative that I can say now I am here at Rangers is that I get about 300 ticket requests from you, and it’s not even from you or your family, they’re all for random people.”
McLean is a known Rangers fan, having expressed his desire to play for at Ibrox throughout his career.
On the midfielder as a player, Aarons described him as “one of the best leaders I’ve played with and an amazing captain,” before he took one final dig.
“I think retirement should come soon.”
Max Aarons has not hit the heights imagined
Bursting onto the scene as an exciting young right-back at Norwich, Aarons has not quite had the career expected.
Shining as the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League in 2020, the youngster was tipped for a move back to the top-flight, though this did not come until 2023, when he joined Bournemouth.
Making just 27 appearances for them since then, he spent time out on loan in Spain with Valencia before his move to Ibrox.

Putting in a mixed bag of performances at Rangers, Aarons has failed to hit the heights once imagined at the start of his career.
And to make things more unfortunate for the full-back, he has failed to make Danny Rohl’s squad in five of the last seven matches across all competitions, limited to just one appearance on the bench in the 2-2 draw against Livingston.
It was a Russell Martin-backed transfer that has simply fizzled out now.
