McGinn shares what Rangers fans did at Ibrox which simply didn't help them - 'Desperate'
Paul McGinn has spoken out after his Motherwell side secured a 3-2 victory over Rangers at Ibrox.
The Gers fell to their first Scottish Premiership defeat since late December as the Steelmen came away from Govan with three points on Sunday.
Emmanuel Longelo’s late strike made all the difference after Youssef Chermtiti and Nico Raskin had got the Light Blues back level.
That has ultimately left the Govan club third in the table, with their title hopes somewhat dashed with four games to go.
Rangers suffered a blow against Motherwell, but it may actually be the Ibrox crowd to blame for what went down against McGinn and Co.

Paul McGinn blames Ibrox crowd for Motherwell defeat
The Gers just needed to win to keep up the pace with both Celtic and Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Despite having the better of the stats against the Well, missing so many big chances ultimately afforded the away side victory.
Stat Rangers Motherwell Possession (%) 51 49 Expected goals 2.21 0.57 Shots 16 9 Big chances 6 1 Big chances missed 4 0
Jens Berthel Askou’s side put in yet another excellent performance and made a decisive impact when the opportunities came.
McGinn played a key role at the back, while Longelo ultimately had the killer impact, but it may have been the Ibrox crowd that made the biggest difference.
The Scot has spoken out via Premier Sports’ Scottish Football Social Club on Monday to suggest that the Light Blues fans forced their side into errors.
He said: “If you take the lead at Ibrox, then you know what the fans are like, you need to try and get the ball back. The fans don’t realise, but they’re almost playing into our hands because they’re desperate for their players to break the shape and come out to get it back off us.

“That means we can pick you off slightly easier. It’s human nature, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve been drilled, the fact that Motherwell have got the ball at 1-0 up, you need to try and get that back at Ibrox.”
Rangers were ultimately bettered by Motherwell, who continued their charge up the division, but there may now be questions asked of the supporters.
Rangers just weren’t good enough vs Motherwell
There is an element of truth in what the Scot is saying, and it clearly made a difference from his perspective at Ibrox.
That almost feels like too convenient an excuse for the Rangers players to lean on after missing so many clear-cut chances.
The Light Blues could have scored four on the day, if not more, but only scored the two as they looked to throw away their title chances.

The final weeks of the Scottish Premiership are no longer in the Gers’ hands, and it is strange to think that the Ibrox faithful are being blamed for that.
