Mikel Arteta convinced £87m star would be perfect for Arsenal but PL rivals already in talks
Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs circling for the potential transfer of Barcelona attacking midfielder Dani Olmo.

However, Manchester City have already started work on trying to win the race for the Spain international with an initial offer in the region of £87m, according to Fichajes.
Olmo is a hugely important player for Barcelona, with eight goals and six assists in all competitions this season, so it’s not clear if they’ll let him go.
According to Fichajes, Arsenal are aware that it could be tricky persuading Barca to sell Olmo, but it seems City are doing their best to push for this deal as they’re eager to sign the 27-year-old as a replacement for Bernardo Silva.
Dani Olmo to replace Bernardo Silva at Manchester City?
Olmo makes sense as an ideal signing for City right now as Silva will be leaving the Etihad Stadium at the end of his contract this summer.
Still, Arsenal could also surely benefit from bringing in a player of this kind of profile, with Martin Odegaard badly out of form this season and struggling to stay fit.
It will be interesting to see how this saga develops, but Olmo certainly looks like a tempting option for both of these clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain are also mentioned as suitors in the report, but Barcelona will undoubtedly hope they can persuade him to stay.
Dani Olmo or Morgan Rogers to Arsenal?
Morgan Rogers is also being linked with Arsenal as it seemingly becomes clearer that the Gunners want to address their issues in attack this summer.
Rogers has been mentioned as a Gunners target by the Sun, and he’d be similar to Olmo in that he’d be expensive but potentially add a bit of an X-factor to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Fichajes claims that Arteta views Olmo as an ideal fit for Arsenal, but Rogers could also provide something similar with his creativity, goal threat, and ability to play a variety of different positions.
