Next Celtic manager: Craig Bellamy odds slashed as new frontrunner emerges
Craig Bellamy has seen his odds slashed to become the next Celtic manager.
The Wales National Team boss is currently hoping to guide his nation to the World Cup in the summer.
However, with the Hoops yet to decide who will take over from Martin O’Neill in the summer, Bellamy has now emerged as a frontrunner for the position.
Now, one UK bookmaker believes an appointment is increasingly likely, with Oddschecker on 13 March confirming that his odds have been slashed down to 6/1 for him to become the next Celtic manager.

Craig Bellamy appointment would be a massive Celtic risk
While Bellamy has impressed as the Wales National Team manager, his appointment would be a massive risk.
The 46-year-old has only been in the dugout since 2024, with the Wales position being his first permanent managerial job.
This has seen him take charge of just 18 matches to date, which is an extremely short pool of games to judge a manager’s ability off.
There is no doubt that whoever comes in at Celtic will have a massive job on their hands, with a big rebuild needed over the course of the summer.

Robbie Keane is ‘the frontrunner’ to become manager of Celtic this summer.
The 45 year old has Ferencvaros top of the table in Hungary & playing well in EL.
Askou & Bellamy are also names on the list.

This could prove to be extremely difficult, especially if the Hoops do not have Champions League football to attract players in.
Therefore, the job could prove to be simply too big for Bellamy this early into his management career.
Who else is linked to the Celtic manager job?
While Football Insider revealed recently that Roberto Martinez and Jens Berthel Askou are leading candidates for the Celtic job, they are not long the bookies’ favourites for the role.
After a recent report stated that Robbie Keane was a major contender to take over, he has now been made the favourite at 5/4 odds.
The former Hoops star has impressed early in his management career, and is on course to guide Ferencvaros to a Europa League quarter-final after their 2-0 win over Braga in the first leg on Thursday.
Askou remains in the running for the job at 2/1, with the Motherwell manager preparing to take on Celtic on Saturday.

Martinez is also still in contention with the Portugal National Team manager at 4/1 to secure the role.
O’Neill is now considered an outsider to land the job on a permanent basis at 12/1.
Target: Elijah Just (Motherwell)
Long-term: Carter-Vickers out
League Pos: 2nd (58 pts)
Status: Summer Talks Underway
Revenue: £143.6m (2025)
