Raheem Sterling sends immediate eight-word response as exiled Chelsea star’s exit confirmed
Raheem Sterling is now set to leave Stamford Bridge as a free agent, bringing an end to his torrid time at Chelsea.
It was rumoured that Sterling could stay at Chelsea after talks with new manager Liam Rosenior, but that is no longer the case, as he finally parts ways with the Blues after three-and-a-half years.
The 33-year-old has left the West London club by mutual agreement, with multiple clubs now likely to be on full alert for his signature, with the player having plenty left to give in his career.
Fulham have been strongly linked with Sterling, but with Marco Silva‘s side doing business for Oscar Bobb this month, other clubs, such as West Ham and Crystal Palace, will be tapping up his agent.
Axel Disasi could still have a chance under Rosenior, having also been exiled from the squad under Enzo Maresca, but the former Man City star has not reached the same conclusion over his future.
Raheem Sterling remains positive after Chelsea exit
With the news of Sterling’s departure travelling quickly, the player has shared his own thoughts, before anything else is made of his immediate exit this month.
Taking to Instagram just minutes after the news of his departure from Chelsea (28 January), Sterling posted a message of positivity, with “all eyes” on his next destination.
He wrote: “All eyes on the future. God is great,” with an emoji of praying hands, displayed on a blank background, with the player choosing not to focus on the negatives after a difficult time with the Blues.

It is not just Premier League teams interested in his services, but also European giants, with Napoli, AS Roma, and Bayer Leverkusen all credited with links to the accomplished winger.
Which teams are linked with signing Sterling on a free transfer?
It was believed that Sterling could stay at Chelsea until the end of the season, with Rosenior remaining positive over his potential future, but it does not seem to have worked out like that.
As well as the aforementioned teams, Premier League trio, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham are all involved in the race for his signature, if one major bookmaker is to be believed.
A move to Saudi Arabia can also not be completely ruled out, with not too many more years left in his career to earn that kind of money, with MLS clubs also given an outside chance.
A return to Man City is not on the cards at all, but Arne Slot‘s Liverpool is one of the clubs that football fans can bet on, though that is extremely unlikely at 33/1.
