Rangers state of play: Injury news, upcoming fixtures and what’s needed to secure title
Rangers are in with a shot of winning their first Scottish Premiership title in five years as they prepare to return to action this weekend.
After bitter rivals Celtic secured a comeback draw at Ibrox, before edging Rangers on penalties in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, the Gers’ season threatened to fall apart in early March.
But a narrow win away at St. Mirren, followed by a thumping 4-1 victory over Aberdeen, coupled with Celtic’s shock loss at Dundee United, has breathed fresh life into their title charge.
Danny Rohl‘s team will hope to make it three wins in a row when they host Dundee United on Saturday, while leaders Hearts, who are three points ahead of Rangers, are away at Livingston and Celtic travel to Dundee, both on Sunday.
Now, Ibrox News has put together a round-up of everything you need to know for the final stretch of Rangers’ season.

What is in store for Rangers?
The first phase of the league season is drawing to a close, with Rangers heading into their final two fixtures.
After hosting seventh-placed Dundee, Rangers head to sixth-placed Falkirk on 12 April.
Rangers’ home and away form in the Scottish Premiership Rank Home: 10 wins, five draws, one loss = 35 points Third Away: Seven wins, seven draws, one loss = 28 points First
But this season is far from done as after all the Scottish top-flight teams complete their 33 matches, they enter the second phase of the competition.
From the 34th match of the season, the league splits into two sections of six teams, with the top six playing playing each other (either at home or away).
Those fixtures are yet to be determined but right now, it looks like Rangers will face Hearts, Celtic, Motherwell, Hibernian and Falkirk once again.

If they win all of those, they will be title winners again.
Rangers’ injury latest ahead of Dundee United clash
Ahead of Rangers facing Dundee United, Rohl confirmed one Gers player will be absent but did not specify who that individual was.
He told reporters, “We have some small issues and one bigger issue. One player is going to be out for tomorrow. I won’t speak today about who it is.
“It is a big shame. It happened during training. Unfortunately not, it will be a little bit longer. Hopefully he comes back before the split but it looks more like it could be during the split.”

However, Rohl confirmed that loanee Andreas Skov Olsen has been training after missing the win over Aberdeen due to illness.
Meanwhile, defender Derek Cornelius is back from a muscle injury, while defensive midfielder Bailey Rice has a knee problem.
