Rangers vs Motherwell injury and suspension latest as six players could miss out
Rangers and Motherwell both have injury problems ahead of their clash on Sunday.
The Gers welcome Jens Berthal Askou’s side to Ibrox on 26 April, looking to keep up the pressure on Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts.
Danny Rohl‘s men are just one point behind Derek McInnes’ side, with five matches left to play, so it could go down to the wire.
The Fir Park outfit sit fourth in the league, with 57 points, and they could still have a huge say on the destination of the championship.
Rangers need to overcome them, but it may be a harder task given the latest injury update from Rohl with two key players set to miss out.

Who will miss out for Rangers?
Rangers will be missing Tuur Rommens and Ryan Naderi for the contest, but there was some positivity around their potential return dates, which could come shortly.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game on 24 April, Rohl confirmed they would not make it against the North Lanarkshire side, saying: “Yes, for the weekend they are not available, but I must really say it looks very positive for the next four games after.

“Tuur looks great, this is now day by day, just about the timing now when he can start to train with the team, but he is in a good process.
“I am more surprised with Ryan, that he looks really well at the minute and it gives me also a positive feeling. I don’t know now exactly when he is back, but it looks like at the minute that he is sooner back than we expected.”
The only other absentee should be Bailey Rice, who has been out of action since November with a muscle issue.
The rest of the Gers squad should be available for the Ibrox clash, unless there is a late injury before kick-off.
Neither side have any suspensions.
What concerns do Motherwell have?
Motherwell have issues of their own ahead of the clash with the title-chasing Light Blues, in which they’re trying to spring an upset.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Berthal Askou confirmed that Regan Charles-Cook and Callum Slattery could return to action.
However, he ruled out Eythor Bjorolfsson and Johnny Koutroumbis for the contest, saying: “We’ve had some players coming back, who are fresher, Slatts is back, which will be a massive boost for us.
“Cook is back in full training, he should be available for selection.

“Callum Hendry was ready for last game, Jonny and Eythor have been training on the pitch and will be back soon, maybe in the next couple of weeks.
“Maybe Jonny is a little bit ahead of Eythor.”
He did not speak on Zach Robinson, who is expected to be out until May with an Achilles tendon injury that he suffered in December 2024.
It will be a tense game for the Gers, and they will need to be on top form to get past the Steelmen and continue their title charge.
With the Ibrox factor and a near fully-fit squad, the Bears should be able to get over the line and keep the Jambos on their toes as the season heads to a tense conclusion for all parties.
