Sami Mokbel teases possible last-gasp Everton move for Harry Wilson today after new Fulham developments

Harry Wilson could end the winter transfer window as an Everton player.

The Blues hold an interest in Wilson, who has notched eight goals and four assists in 23 Premier League appearances this season.

The Toffees are on the verge of signing Tyrique George from Chelsea on loan with an option to buy, but there could be room for another new arrival.

He is available on a free transfer in the summer, and the London club could seek a permanent exit before the 7:00 pm GMT deadline on 2 February.

Everton could still make Harry Wilson move

David Moyes is still on the lookout for attackers, and could look to the 28-year-old to solve their issues in the final third.

BBC reporter Sami Mokbel raised the question of a potential deadline day move for Wilson, refusing to rule out the Blues after the Cottagers signed Oscar Bobb from Manchester City.

Speaking on 2 February, he said: “The Harry Wilson situation at Fulham might move.

“He has six months left on his contract and he can leave for nothing in the summer, Oscar Bobb has just gone there. I just wonder if an Aston Villa or an Everton have a little nibble on deadline day?

“I’m not saying Fulham would entertain it given how well he is playing, but they have a ready replacement there now, and I understand there is an interest in him.”

Wilson would take Everton to the next level

The Merseysiders are looking for difference makers, as they look to qualify for European football, and the Fulham man would be just that.

Wilson has proven himself as a top operator in the English top-flight in his time in West London, and his profile would take Moyes’ side to the next level.

He is a threat from set pieces, with a wicked shot and excellent delivery abilities, but his open play work is wildly underrated too.

He has notched a total of 18 goals and 11 assists in the last three league seasons, maturing into a game-changing player, capable of brilliant things.

George is inexperienced and would be a gamble, if they could secure Wilson too, it would be a great move that could bring the Toffees closer to their ambitions at the end of the campaign.

It remains to be seen whether they can agree a deal, but it is an absolute no-brainer for the Toffees to try at the very least.

If they cannot, then they can agree a contract with him in the summer and get him for free, but if they could spend a decent fee and bring him in now, that would be the better move.
