Moises Caicedo has no intention of leaving Chelsea this summer, ruling out a possible move to Real Madrid.

The Blues have endured a turbulent few weeks which has seen them crash out of the Champions League and lose ground in the battle for a top five finish in the Premier League. After four defeats on the spin, Liam Rosenior finds himself under mounting pressure.

Other issues have compounded Chelsea’s woes having also lost Reece James to injury again.

Elsewhere, Enzo Fernandez has raised huge doubts over his future at the club in interviews given to Argentine media since his side’s European exit after defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, failing to rule out a long-speculated move to Real Madrid.

Fernandez’s comments have done little to ease tensions at Chelsea.

His midfield partner Caicedo was also quizzed on a move to the Spanish capital from his national team’s training camp but the former Brighton star produced a response that will delight Chelsea fans.

Asked about a possible move to Real, the Ecuador international said: ‘I have a contract with Chelsea and I want to become a legend there , God willing. My intention is to stay there and finish in the best way possible.’

Caicedo’s comments have been celebrated by Chelsea fans online after he firmly shut down transfer speculation – unlike Fernandez.

When asked if he could guarantee that he will be a Chelsea player next season following the 3-0 defeat at home to PSG last week, Fernandez told ESPN Argentina: ‘I don’t know, I don’t know.

‘There are eight games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see.’

In a subsequent interview the same outlet a few days later, Fernandez denied suggestions he was already in talks with Real but again left the door open for a move.

‘There are no talks,’ he told ESPN Argentina. ‘Right now I’m focused on Chelsea, we’ll see after the World Cup.’
