‘Send him back’ – Rangers fans roast ‘horrific’ player after what he did vs Annan Athletic
Rangers continued their excellent form on Friday as they demolished Annan Athletic 5-0 in the Scottish Cup.
The win continued Rangers’ resurgence under Danny Rohl, who has transformed a number of the Ibrox stars, as the Old Firm side get their season back on track.
Despite playing against a fourth-tier side, many players impressed, including Bojan Miovski, who returned to form for Rangers with a hat-trick.
However, many stars were also poor, with fans quick to slam Nasser Djiga’s performance despite the comprehensive victory.
Rangers fans slam Nasser Djiga’s display against Annan Athletic
Djiga has not had a good time at Ibrox since moving to the Gers on loan.
Rangers fans have consistently slammed Djiga for his performances, with the centre-back rarely having a good game.
On Friday, the centre-back returned to the starting XI for the first time since his time away at AFCON.

The 23-year-old had been away with Burkina Faso, where he helped his nation reach the round of 16 before they were knocked out by the Ivory Coast.
However, despite playing against a League Two opponent, Djiga struggled and was a liability throughout the match.
As a result, many Rangers fans took to X, demanding that the Gers simply send the 23-year-old back to Wolves and end his loan.
Genuinely, just send Djiga back to wolves, has zero interest in being here. Wandering about putting no pressure on forwards in the box.— Gavin Kelly (@gmkelly1979) January 16, 2026
Djiga is horrific isn’t he— Bear Necessity (@Publandlord87) January 16, 2026
Max Aaron’s and Djiga are two of the worst defenders ive ever seen.— Ryan Yorkston (@RyanYorkieBar2) January 16, 2026
This should be enough to get rid of Djiga absolutely howling— Jason Lamont (@jasonlamont72) January 16, 2026
Many supporters were also less than impressed with Max Aarons, who is also on loan at Rangers from Bournemouth.
Now seriously
Get Aarons and Djiga’s loans terminated— JF 🇬🇧🏁🇩🇪 (@RFCNUFC23) January 16, 2026

Danny Rohl: Rangers are eyeing double
Upon the departure of Russell Martin earlier this season, it appeared that the campaign was a write-off.
The coach had left the Ibrox club in a mess, with numerous summer signings evidently not good enough for the Scottish Premiership.
Yet, Rohl has somehow made this work, with the Gers just six points off Hearts at the summit, while now also progressing into the round of 16 of the Scottish Cup.
Now, Rangers possess a real chance to not only win the Scottish Cup this season, but also the league title.

This is something that the manager recognises as the Gers enter the second half of the season, with Rohl believing that Rangers can achieve a double this campaign.
“I think in general we can play for two titles at the moment, I think that’s what we want,” he told BBC Sport on 17 January.
“In the cup you need less wins to be in the final, I think it’s a great opportunity, we want to push.
“I think we are hungry in the changing room at the moment. I think there was a big statement in Aberdeen [2-0 win] when I felt the dressing room after the win was really fantastic.”
