Striker on his way to Scotland for Rangers medical, record-breaking bid offered - report
Rangers have agreed to sign Ryan Naderi on deadline day, with the striker now heading to the UK for a medical.
Naderi and Rangers had reached a verbal agreement for the transfer to go through in the summer, after having failed to reach a deal to see him sign this winter.
Danny Rohl has been desperately searching for a new centre-forward to bolster his forward line before Monday’s 11pm deadline, but he’s hit a brick wall with numerous targets.
Rangers’ loan move for Cameron Archer looks dead in the water as Southampton are struggling to sign a striker themselves, but now Rohl is set to get his long-held wish.

Rangers fast-track Ryan Naderi deal with medical now booked
When it comes to deadline day, it always pays to be proactive and have numerous plans in place to be able to react to the constantly changing nature of the day.
At the start of Monday, Archer looked to be Rangers’ most likely avenue to signing a centre-forward, with a loan deal already in place for the Southampton man, with Saints just needing to sign a striker of their own first.
It was revealed on Monday that Rohl had a contingency plan involving Naderi should Rangers’ move for Archer fail though, and now that appears to have been a stroke of genius given that deal is now on ice.
As per an X post from Germany-based Sky Sports reporter Ben Heckner, Naderi is now reportedly on his way to the UK to undergo a medical with Rangers.
Heckner states that Gers have ‘significantly improved’ their €3million euros+ bid for the Hansa Rostock star, but a deal isn’t done yet, as Rostock still need to green light the move.
If it does go through as it appears to be doing so, then it would set a new 3.Liga record for a transfer fee received for one of that league’s players.
Naderi deal is a better outcome than signing Archer
Whilst Archer has the profile of a player who could score plenty of goals in Scottish football, there are some major red flags too.
The 24-year-old has only played 600 minutes of league football for Southampton this season, and has played just one minute in Saints’ last three Championship games.
As such, it’s likely that he’d need a number of weeks potentially to get fully up to match fitness; something Rangers can’t really afford given their position in the title race.
Naderi, on the other hand, whilst is coming from a less reputable league in the German third division, will require no such time to build his fitness, as he’s been played practically double (1,171) the league minutes Archer has.
He will also arrive at Ibrox – if the deal goes through – in excellent form, having scored eight goals and provided four assists in 18 total appearances for Hansa Rostock this season.
