Three Jordan threats the Super Eagles must stop

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play against Jordan at the Mardan Antalyaspor Stadium in Turkiye tomorrow, Soccernet.ng reports.

Eric Chelle's men secured a 2-1 win over Iran last Friday, with Moses Simon and Akor Adams sharing the goalscoring responsibility in Victor Osimhen's absence.

Jordan, on the other hand, played a 2-2 draw against Costa Rica, bottling a two-goal lead as the Costa Ricans came from behind to overturn the deficit.

Ahead of the meeting between Al Nashama and the Super Eagles, Soccernet.ng highlights three Jordanian threats Nigeria must look out for.

Three Jordan threats the Super Eagles must stop

1. Baha' Faisal

The Al-Waab SC striker has scored 15 goals in 49 appearances for Jordan since making his debut in 2016. The 30-year-old also found the back of the net against Costa Rica on Friday, beating Patrick Sequeria from twelve yards.

Faisal is the perfect description of ‘Fox in the box', as he comes alive in the 18-yard box with a goal sense that the Super Eagles have to be wary of.

2. Odeh Al-Fakhouri

The young Jordanian winger plies his trade with Egyptian side Pyramids FC. At only 20, Al-Fakhouri possesses immense raw pace that could be used to exploit the Nigerian defence on either side.

Al-Fakhouri is also capable of whipping in dangerous crosses into the box for Faisal to head, and he will be one to watch tomorrow evening.

3. Ibrahim Sabra

On loan from the Turkish side, Goztepe, the NK Lokomotiva striker came off the bench to score against Costa Rica.

Like Al-Fakhouri, Sabra is only 20-years-old, but he looks set to lead the line for the Jordanians as Faisal gets older, and has proven to be a reliable weapon off the bench.
