Tim Sherwood makes Thomas Frank sack claim after new Tottenham transfer update
Tim Sherwood firmly believes that Thomas Frank won’t be sacked by Tottenham in the coming months.
Although Spurs sit 14th in the Premier League table after 24 matches, it’s clear that Frank is being trusted with overseeing a long-term project to rebuild his squad.
Frank pushed for Tottenham to sign Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid, and he is clearly having a huge say in how business is being conducted in the winter transfer window.
Spurs have already signed four players in the last 32 days, and Hearts striker James Wilson is about to undergo a medical before the deadline at 7pm on 2 February.
As a result, Sherwood isn’t convinced that Spurs will part ways with their manager.

Thomas Frank won’t be sacked due to his key role in the transfer window
Many Tottenham fans are hoping that Frank will be sacked due to the poor performances.
However, given that he has had such a big influence over the recruitment of players and coaching staff in recent weeks, it means that the board may stick with him even if results don’t improve.
When discussing whether Spurs would make any more additions to their squad on Sky Sports News, Sherwood felt it was clear that Frank’s job isn’t in jeopardy until the end of the campaign.
He said: “If they haven’t sacked him by now, they won’t.

“They don’t want to sack Frank. They’ll give him to the end of the season, and who knows?”
While deals are incredibly unlikely for Maghnes Akliouche and Jhon Duran at this stage, it’s clear that Frank wants additional reinforcement in the final third.
Although Wilson is set to join before the deadline, a lot would have to happen if anyone else were to come in.
The likes of Enzo Maresca and Roberto De Zerbi have been linked with the job, and it’s clear that they could have a huge impact on the current squad.

Which managers have linked with replacing Frank in the summer?
While Frank looks to be safe for now, his job could be under real threat in the summer.
Maresca and De Zerbi aren’t the only options, and the board has thought about the possibility of replacing the Dane at the end of the season.
Mauricio Pochettino could make a sensational return to N17, while Michael Carrick has also been linked with the role for when his interim spell at Man United comes to an end.
Although it is the prevailing feeling, it would make no sense to sack Frank now after giving him full control in the transfer market.
Spurs may not sign another player after Wilson, but it’s clear that he has no more excuses and has to do whatever it takes to oversee a huge change in form.
