Tottenham stars react as Richarlison trolls Virgil van Dijk after goal vs Liverpool

Tottenham’s players have reacted to Richarlison online after he trolled Virgil van Dijk following his late equaliser against Liverpool.

Richarlison popped up in the 90th minute to earn a 1-1 draw for Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday in their fight to avoid relegation this season.

Dominik Szoboszlai had put the hosts ahead in the first half with a textbook long-range free-kick, but the Brazilian carried on his fine form against Liverpool late on.

He has now scored six times in 18 appearances against the Reds in his career so far, with five of those coming at Anfield.

Richarlison will be expecting to start Tottenham’s next match against Atletico Madrid, and his teammate clearly back him to keep scoring after what he posted online.

It is safe to say that Liverpool fans do not like Richarlison due to his Everton connections, and the feeling is clearly mutual after he was seen to be goading the home crowd following his strike on Sunday.

He has not been at his best for Spurs so far this term, but the goal at Anfield was his 10th of the campaign, and he was the man who delivered when they most needed a hero.

The 28-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday night to upload a series of photos of his goal, with the final one depicting him running off to celebrate next to a fuming Van Dijk.

Several Spurs stars took the time to reply, with Djed Spence writing: “PubG Mobile”, while Micky van de Ven added: “9”, Mathys Tel left numerous pigeon emojis and Kevin Danso left two sparkle emojis.

Richarlison is one of numerous high-profile players who could leave Tottenham soon

Richarlison was linked with a move away from Tottenham last summer, with Everton and Orlando City both touted as potential destinations if he was to leave.

The Brazil striker remained in North London, though, and he has impressed more than most of their players this season, with 10 goals and four assists in 36 appearances.

Sources have told Football Insider that Richarlison is considering his future at Spurs, alongside the likes of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Relegation is a genuine possibility as it stands, and he will surely move on if the unthinkable happens and Tottenham are playing Championship football next season.
