VfB Stuttgart deliver perfect response to UEFA Europa League exit
In-form striker Deniz Undav has plundered seven goals in his last six league games, striking twice to send the Swabians on their way to a comfortable 5-2 victory against Augsburg, who were unbeaten in their last eight games at the WWK Arena.
It means that Sebastian Hoeneß’s charges have now scored at least once in each of their last 18 games on the road in the Bundesliga, equalling their club record set between 1984 and 1985.
Only Bayern Munich have scored more than Stuttgart’s 34 goals away from home this term, with VfB’s five against Augsburg their best return in 2025/26. Remarkably, Undav and Co. have already amassed four goals in wins over Bayer Leverkusen and Werder Bremen, while putting three past Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Heidenheim.
