View: 49ers prove that Rangers fans still have financial power as Club 1872 sign off six-figure investment
The 49ers are continuing to work closely with fans, as Rangers have received a £220,000 investment from Club 1872.
The six-figure pledge will be used for renovation works both in and outside of Ibrox, with work already set to commence in the trophy room as well as areas in the Bill Struth Main Stand.
It will also see money be used towards paintings in the Blue Room, as the Brake Club Banner will also be updated.
According to the Rangers Review, other projects will be getting work done, with some just awaiting approval.
Club 1872 have given financial help in the past, so this comes as no surprise, but with the 49ers in charge, it’s clear to see that Gers fans can still have a significant impact on their own club.

Andrew Cavenagh bang on money with Rangers history claim
Club 1872 completed a £250,000 share purchase to become the ninth-largest Rangers investor back in 2023, and are continuing to help the Bears in any way they can.
The group deserves tremendous credit for this contribution, and they have reportedly set aside another £220,000 for future share issues.

Speaking after Club 1872’s investment, Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh praised the group for their work.
Cavenagh said: “The history of Rangers is part of everyday life for our fans, and it’s something we are responsible for protecting.
“I’m very grateful to Club 1872 and their contributors. This is a meaningful show of support, and we will ensure it is delivered with care.”
The 49ers do have a responsibility in protecting the history of the Bears, and these contributions will only help that.
It could have so easily gone wrong between Club 1872 and Rangers earlier in the season, but Cavenagh and Co. haven’t shied away from their own decisions.
This is just another example that Gers fans can make a big difference to their own club, and hopefully, they are rewarded for it in the long run.
How can the 49ers repay Rangers fans now?
Cavenagh was seen greeting Gers fans who made the trip to St. Mirren to watch the 1-0 recently, and he’s always been a visible figure.
That, of course, can’t be the only thing that the American can do to stay in the Gers fans’ good books, but having a chairman who is present is crucial.
There’s no doubt that he’ll keep financially backing the Bears next season, and when he does, supporters may feel more inclined to get on board and maybe even join Club 1872.
Silverware is a must, though, but once that comes, a beautiful relationship could be formed.
