View: Everton boss David Moyes must be considered for Premier League honour
David Moyes has to hold a strong chance of winning the Premier League Manager of the Season for the job he’s doing at Everton this season.
He may now be 62-years old, but Moyes is proving that he’s still totally deserving of his place in a Premier League dug out among a host of new, modern, fresh-faced coaches.
Everton are once again in very safe hands under his management, as proven by the fact they’re well on course for a first top-half finish since 2020-21 this season.
The Toffees are now right in the European conversation too, after they put a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal firmly behind them on Saturday.
Everton ran out 3-0 winners over Chelsea at Hill Dickinson Stadium, which now makes it three league wins from their last four ahead of a big final run-in.

Few managers are doing as good a job as David Moyes at Everton
Everton were superb in the win over Chelsea, with a Beto brace and an Iliman Ndiaye stunner with some Jordan Pickford shot-stopping magic sprinkled in, all contributing to one of Hill Dickinson Stadium’s most memorable nights so far.
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior was completely out-thought by Moyes, and his team were pretty much out-anything’d on Saturday evening, in an emphatic Toffees triumph.

Since returning to Merseyside in January of last year, Everton have been on pretty much nothing but an upward trajectory under Moyes, and there’s no sign of stagnation on the horizon either.
Therefore, he’s now got to be seriously in the conversation for the Premier League Manger of the Season award, as there aren’t many coaches across the division performing a better job than Moyes.
Keith Andrews will be a contender at Brentford and rightly so, Mikel Arteta will obviously hold strong claims too, whilst Unai Emery, Regis Le Bris and possibly even Michael Carrick could all have shouts too.
Should Everton qualify for European football for next season, then he would have every right to feel harshly snubbed if another manager won the award over him.
Has Moyes ever won Premier League Manager of the Season?
Having started his managerial journey all the way back in 1998 with Preston North End, Moyes has enjoyed a hugely successful coaching career so far.
The Scotsman has won three League Mangers Association Manager of the Year awards (02-03, 04-05 and 08-09), and has 11 Premier League Manager of the Month wins under his belt too.

However, Moyes has never been named the Premier League’s Manager of the Season, which for a coach of his gravitas in the English game, will probably be a tad surprising to some.
But, he looks to have a fantastic chance of putting an end to that this season, as he and his Everton team set their sights on getting in those European places.
