View: Everton player may need to meet club halfway on wages for new deal
Jack Grealish may have to take a pay cut to complete a permanent transfer to Everton in the upcoming transfer window.
The Manchester City loanee will return to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, where he has one year left on his contract.
While the Toffees have a £50million option to buy the forward, they value him closer to the £20m mark and will need to convince the Cityzens of that figure.
Grealish’s return to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the summer is seen as likely, but there may need to be talks on the England international’s wages, currently earning £300,000-a-week, with the Blues paying £12m of it.
The Friedkin Group must back David Moyes at the end of the season with quality signings, but finances could potentially sink a deal with Man City for the forward.

Jack Grealish has to make concessions for Everton transfer
Now that the Toffees will likely have to pay a fee to get Grealish back in the summer, £12m in wages may prove a stumbling block.
It would make sense for the Englishman to meet the Blues halfway and sign a deal worth around £150,000-a-week.
Statistics Jack Grealish Average Sofascore rating 7.23 Appearances 20 Goals 2 Assists 6 Big chances created 5 Accurate passes per game 24.1 (84%) Balls recovered per game 4.4 Successful dribbles per game 1.2 (40%)
There’s no denying the quality the winger possesses, but he will be turning 31 in October.
Age affects the best of footballers and Grealish can’t expect to maintain the same level of quality for whatever length of contract he signs with the Merseyside outfit.
It wouldn’t make sense for TFG to keep a player who will possibly lose a yard of pace, amongst other things, on high wages for the next three to four years and the Man City star has to recognise that.
Jack Grealish alternative already on Hill Dickinson Stadium radar
If a move for Grealish ends up failing to materialise, Everton may have the perfect bargain replacement on their radar.

The Toffees have been linked with Fulham winger Harry Wilson, whose contract expires at the end of the season after an exceptional few months at Craven Cottage.
With the Wales international likely available as a free agent in the summer, the Merseyside outfit may have the perfect replacement for Grealish at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
No matter what the future holds for the Merseysiders, they must ensure financial stability, which won’t come from offering the Englishman massive wages, which could lead other players to demand pay rises.
